Adventurers strive to leave minimal impact on the places they recreate, but they do not always know how. From poo'ing in the woods the “right way” to packing to reduce waste, the Center for Outdoor Ethics has done extensive research to help adventurers leave no trace and reduce their impact on the places we all love.
In the two-day Level 1 Instructor Course, participants acquire Leave No Trace skills, ethics, and teaching techniques for promoting low-impact practices for recreating outdoors. The course, conducted in person over two consecutive days, includes over half of the duration spent outdoors. Graduates of the course are equipped to conduct Leave No Trace Skills Courses and Workshops in their communities.
